The International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) is an international non-profit organization, registered in the UK as an educational charity. It was established by HRH The Prince of Wales and a group of Chief Executives of international companies in 1990, in response to the emerging challenges of economic growth and change in the global economy. At its core, IBLF works to ensure that business can be at the heart of solutions to development challenges all around the world.
IBLF's mission is to put business at the heart of sustainable development. The organization works with business, governments and civil society to enhance the contribution that companies can make to sustainable development.
IBLF is currently supported by over 100 of the world's leading businesses and provides strategic counsel to companies to enable them to understand and respond to the development challenges that they face, particularly when operating in transition or emerging economies. As well as managing a number of programs that provide the corporate sector with opportunities to directly enhance their impact on society, IBLF helps businesses connect with other organizations and develop successful cross-sector partnerships.
In 2007, the IBLF Board signed off on a long-term strategy for impact and sustainability entitled, Toward 2015. The strategy recognized the importance of the United States and Latin America for future IBLF operations. Approximately one third of IBLF's current corporate partners are located in the US. Recruitment targets for the next few years are centered on the US, as well as Latin America. The Americas region is also home to key regional and global development institutions that are critical to IBLF's future success.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Americas Director will provide leadership to the Forum and its expanding activities in North and South America.
Responsibilities:
He or she has management and oversight responsibilities for the day-to-day operations in the region while building and sustaining the key relationships with its many partners, external constituents, and supporters. The Director will be responsible for, nurturing and growing existing corporate partnerships, increasing brand recognition, recruiting new corporate supporters, initiating programs and expanding the IBLF mission throughout the region.

To be successful in this role, the Director will be a person of intellectual and professional breadth, demonstrating a profound commitment to social welfare and corporate responsibility. He or she will posses a high level of personal integrity and articulate the vision and mission of IBLF with energy and passion.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in organization building and possess excellent leadership and communications skills. The Director must have a commitment to the programs of IBLF; the ability to work collaboratively and imaginatively with IBLF's partners and supporters; and a talent for engaging high level corporate leaders to support the organization.
He or she must have a track record of distinction in industry, government or the not-for-profit sector.
