myEnergyLoan
myEnergyLoan is the leading green mortgage incentive program which was specifically created as a way to provide a necessary financial incentives for people to purchase or greenovate real property.
myEnergyloan works with hundreds of green builders, EcoBrokers, Architecural/Design firms and individuals around the country in order to fuel the shift from a fossil-fuel economy to an EcoEconomy.
Currently, myEnergyLoan is working with HomeFirst Mortgage, a stellar mortgage brokerage based in Alexandria, VA. HomeFirst Mortgage is dedicated to developing a green division of its company and benefits by its association with myEnergyLoan as a result.
Located in Atlanta, GA, the prinicpal of myEnergyLoan, Jeff Cole, is committed to serving the buyers, builders, owners and buyers of green buildings because by serving the green real estate market he is impacting four crisis areas:
Crisis One: Insurance The undercurrent of capital markets, risk assessment and convergent industrial complex. Within 20 years or fewer many of our coastal regions will be uninsurable because they will be under water or projected to be under water within the lifespan of a fully amortized 30-year mortgage...which means they will be UNINSURABLE. Represents 10% of GDP, but touches nearly 100% of GDB. Green buildings are more valuable and provide a lower risk assessment...hence, green building helps a lot.
Crisis Two: Environmental Climate Chane is real...it is doing major damage and likely will become irreversible damage if we don't act IMMEDIATELY in order to STOP emitting carbon at such high levels. We have virtually no hope for our global economy, much less our more important local living economies (see BALLE), without change. Clearly, humans are intelligent - we can and we will make the necessary changes...hence green building helps a lot.
Crisis Three: Economic See Crisis two and also note that because green buildings are more valuable, cost less to operate and are healthier, they provide a HUGE economic impact far beyond productivity levels in healthier buildings. Green building helps a lot.
Crisis Four: Health Our country is fat and not so happy. A green building is a healthy building and a healthy building produces happy people. Not to mention fewer trips to the doctor and psychologist...cuz when you are healthy, you are generally happier. Empirically, however, the health crisis has more to do with lack of access to proper health care options that are largely dictated by broken insurance providers...Back to number one...
